ABOUT US

According to a recent study, "Millennials believe open conversation about bias will reduce prejudice, but they’re uncomfortable with the subject and don’t know how to start the discussion."

The Let’s Talk Equality initiative was started by an interdisciplinary group of University of Tampa instructors seeking to incorporate social justice topics into their curriculum. The goal was to explore how to engage students in conversations about bias and discrimination related to race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, etc. The initial projects included essays, speeches, films, and images from writing, speech, film, cultural studies and advertising students.
